Dr. Ashley Young earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree with honours from New York Chiropractic College after achieving her Bachelor of Science in Honours Biology from Sir Wilfrid Laurier University. Dr. Young is certified in Active Release Techniques (ART), Lower Extremity Athletic Movement Assessment, Functional Integrated Needling and Neurofunctional Acupuncture from McMaster University. Dr. Young's approach to care integrates an array of evidence-based techniques inclusive of spinal manipulation, soft tissue release modalities and acupuncture to treat a variety of neuromusculoskeletal related conditions. She has special interests in sports science, human performance and the management of chronic spinal conditions. As a well-rounded athlete, she understands the physical demands of sport on the human frame and the importance of receiving customized manual therapy tailored to individual needs. Dr. Young specializes in preventative care, performance enhancement and rehabilitative care. Her mission is to be a facilitator in helping her patients achieve their personal health goals by creating an optimal state through functional restoration, pain and dysfunction reduction. Dr. Ashley is passionate about empowering individuals to live a life of purpose by igniting a passion for health and wellness that drives them to be the best version of themselves. It is her goal to have you moving longer and feeling stronger while increasing the overall quality of your life.
