Julia Cetnar
Julia
Cetnar
Physiotherapist (PT)
Julia's academic journey began at the University of Western Ontario, where she graduated with an Honours Specialization in Kinesiology and a minor in Rehabilitation Science. Her lifelong involvement in athletics and interest in healthcare then led her to study physiotherapy. Since graduating from the Masters of Physiotherapy program at McMaster University, Julia has taken post graduate courses in manual therapy, soft tissue release, therapeutic taping and acupuncture. She is currently working towards completing her manual therapy levels and is always looking to build her knowledge and clinical skills. Julia has participated in medical event coverage for a variety of competitions with Skate Canada, as well as the Gus Macker basketball tournament. Julia enjoys treating patients with a variety of orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions and getting them back to the activities they love, whether it be high level competitive sport or working in the backyard garden. Julia employs manual therapy techniques, specific exercise prescription, and contemporary acupuncture to accomplish these goals. Julia was a competitive figure skater and soccer player in the not-too-distant past. Currently, Julia is an avid rock climber and enjoys practicing yoga, running, and dance. Julia maintains a practice at Athlete's Care Yorkville, and also offers house calls for clients wishing to be treated at home
