Chiropractor (DC)
Dr. Kevin Bloom currently maintains an active chiropractic practice within the Bayview Medical Centre in Toronto, a multi-disciplinary medical clinic with family physicians, pharmacists and nurses.
Kevin provides focused, individualized treatment aimed at achieving symptom resolution and functional restoration for patients suffering from wide-ranging musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, including: motor-vehicle accident injuries (MVA)
work-related injuries (WSIB)
repetitive-strain conditions
slip and fall, sports and personal injuries
In addition to private practice, Kevin has assessed numerous chronic/unresolved work-related injuries (WSIB) in conjunction with an orthopedic surgeon at the WSIB Regional Evaluation Centre at the Hamilton Hospitals Assessment Centre (HHAC). In addition, Dr. Bloom is currently a consultant to the University Health Network, Toronto Western Hospital site, Department of Rehabilitation Solutions. Dr. Bloom has guest lectured to fourth year students at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
Upon earning his Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1996, Kevin went on to graduate from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College with his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) in 2001, during which time he completed part of his internship at St. John’s Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto. Kevin went on to obtain his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Schulich School of Business, York University in 2003. Additionally, he completed the Medical Acupuncture program at McMaster University in the department of anesthesia.
In an ongoing effort to remain up-to-date in his profession, Dr. Bloom is a member of the Research Review Service, an online service providing chiropractors, physiotherapists, and other musculoskeletal injury treating health practitioners with reviews of the latest scientific information relating to musculoskeletal diagnosis, assessment, and treatment. Kevin has also taken continuing education courses in Impairment Rating (American Medical Association Guides, 4th Edition), Functional Assessments (using ARCON systems), Motor Vehicle Accident Injuries, Medical Compression Stockings, Athletic Taping, Certified Personal Training, and Custom Orthotic Therapy.
Dr. Bloom is a licensed chiropractor in the province of Ontario, in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. Kevin is a member of the Ontario Chiropractic Association, Canadian Chiropractic Association, and the Canadian Chiropractic Protective Association.
