Dr. Sabine Anani is a Chiropractor and Contemporary and Medical Acupuncture provider.
She is from the Ottawa valley and is fluently bilingual in French and English. Her interest in health care began through her work with special needs populations with various organizations and volunteer programs. Her passion for helping others led her to enroll at Ottawa University where she studied Health Science, and later to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto to study Chiropractic Medicine. Dr. Anani furthered her education and certified as a Contemporary and Medical Acupuncture provider in McMaster’s world-renowned program, where she was instructed by leading professionals in sports medicine, family medicine, chiropractic and physiotherapy.
Dr. Anani is an avid athlete whose specific interests are running, cycling, figure skating, and dance. She regularly runs, bikes, and is an amateur hockey player. Because of these activities she has developed an interest in athletic conditioning and treating sports injuries.
Her approach to health care is holistic and involves the assessment of the body, diet, and lifestyle demands of each patient. She has a special interest in the treatment of headaches, TMJ disorders, athletic injuries, general child health care, prenatal and postnatal care, and geriatric complaints. She uses a combination of manual therapies (Graston Technique, Active Release Technique, manual adjusting), medical acupuncture (electrical and non-electrical), sports taping, rehabilitative exercises, and diet/nutritional counseling.
